Think fast book6/30/2023 Regarding facts, it's a bit easier - you can check them up. When we're communicating with others, consuming knowledge from media, researching new tech, etc, we should try to separate opinions and facts. Very simply put, critical thinking means analyzing the information you've got in order to form a judgment ( a more detailed definition). I started researching the topic and often found myself being introduced to the concept of "critical thinking". That's when I decided it's time to change something in my thinking. That seemingly random moment reminded me of many previous situations where I've made bad decisions or given incorrect answers because of rushing and not taking time to think properly. And after hearing the correct answer, I understood I'm not that smart. Well, if you do the maths, you'll understand it's incorrect. Being a smart guy, I immediately thought "easy, the answer's 10 cents". The presenter asked us the bat and ball question and told us to give the answer as quickly as possible. I remember being in the army, listening to a presentation about thinking under stress situations. This article is based on my video in developerHabits on the same topic:

Café con lychee6/30/2023 Café con leche is typically served hot, but can also be made iced.Café con leche can be clarito (light, more milk) or oscurito (dark, less milk). The warmed milk is then poured over the espresso and stirred. Often sugar is added to the milk as it is being heated. The drink is created by making espresso and then using a steam wand scalding milk to just below the boiling point. Because of the milk, it is heavier and more filling than coffee drinks. Current use Ĭafé con leche is considered a breakfast drink in many countries that serve it. Café con leche is very common in Spain and Latin America, as well as other Latin American communities around the world.Ĭuban restaurants in Florida often have a walk-up window ( ventanita) that serve café con leche. After becoming popular in Spain, this coffee beverage has spread to other Spanish-speaking countries and areas. The cafe con leche drink originated in Spain, though it is unclear who or when this drink was first created. It is similar to the Italian caffè latte and the French café au lait. Cuban and Puerto Rican establishments often prepare the drink with sugar. The amount of milk can be higher in a café con leche en vaso or a café con leche de desayuno. Café con leche ('coffee with milk') is a coffee beverage common throughout Spain and Latin America consisting of strong coffee (usually espresso) mixed with scalded milk in approximately equal amounts.

Public Relations by Katie Heaney6/30/2023 Book Review and GIVEAWAY: Public Relations, by Kat.GIVEAWAY: Signed copy of My Last Continent, by Mid.Book Review and GIVEAWAY: When Dimple Met Rishi, b.Book Review and GIVEAWAY: Dating You / Hating You. It gives an interesting look into the world of PR, and shows how many celebrity "relationships" are actually manufactured just for the press. Public Relations A smart and charming romantic comedy about a popstar and the publicist pulling his strings that Kirkus calls a Cinderella for the modern. (2018), as well as novels Dear Emma (2016), Public Relations (2017) and Girl Crushed. This was a very cute book that's being compared to The Devil Wears Prada, though I have to say that the main character's boss in this novel is much nicer than Miranda Priestly. All books by Katie Heaney in the correct order with book cover. He seemed charming in person, speaking in a slow, deep drawl-though there was less of that now that he was ducking out of interviews, avoiding paparazzi, and blowing off red carpets. Unlike many YouTube sensations, however, he actually had the goods to support a career, and before the world even had time to process what was happening, his dimpled simple and shaggy hair were everywhere. What I knew about Archie Fox before walking into the meeting was as follows: He was twenty-four years old, British, and blew up about five years ago when an amateur video of one of his open-mike-night performances got a million views on YouTube within thirty-six hours.

Unstrung neal shusterman6/28/2023 Not much else to say – felt more like a side story than an explanation, but i guess it’ll all come together some how in the coming installments. As twelve-year-oldsstruggling to survive in two verydifferent worlds within theRepublic’s stronghold, June wasstarting her first day of school atDrake University as the youngestcadet ever admitted, and Day wasfighting for food on the streets ofthe Lake sector. What we do get though is a new perspective on life during this time, among a people who value family and culture and history more than anything else, and that’s something that’s quite interesting. Where we are is that we see Lev finding himself on an Indian reservation – a place that potentially will give him solace and freedom from being an AWOL – but that still doesn’t lead me to understand how he became a clapper persay. Mired in a numbing gray fog, Lev feels her cool fingers on his neck, taking his pulse. So – i was quite interested to understand how Lev became a clapper, but i really don’t think that’s what we get in this novella. Off armageddon reef6/27/2023 But one kingdom-with the aid of the war''s last survivor, a cybernetic avatar that awakens to reinvent itself as a man named Merlin Athrawes-risks committing the ultimate heresy. Centuries later, cultural stagnation on this feudal but thriving planet is enforced by the all-powerful Church of God Awaiting. The colony''s founders psychologically program the colonists to prevent the re-emergence of scientific inquiry, higher mathematics or advanced technology, which the Gbaba would detect and destroy. The survivors of the human race retreat to the planet Safehold, where they sacrifice basic human rights-and an accurate memory of the Gbaba-for the preservation of the species.
